About Me

About me…where to start?

I grew up in Bowdle, SD, which is only 15 miles west of Roscoe, SD where I currently live.  My husband Brian farms in the Roscoe area and we have one son named Harrison Ray. I graduated from South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD with a B.S. degree in Journalism/Mass Communications with an emphasis in Advertising.  I also have a minor in Graphic Design and a Minor in TV/Radio Broadcast.

I love (at random): reading, rocking Harrison, riding my bike, calm summer days (few and far between around here), playing softball, life, playing with my dog Rufus, Chinese food, traveling, this one really great raspberry dessert I had while in Spain, Root Beet Floats, the sound of my dad’s old ’76 Ford, HERE’S A WEIRD ONE – the smell of diesel fuel (yep, I told you! It reminds me of the gas station we owned when I was little)...

Purses, shopping, high heels, Martha’s Vineyard, baby feet & fingers, newborn babies, curly haired kids, red hair (yep, not making that up), my Gramma, taking pictures (of course!), learning new things, my computers, hats, driving places by myself, playing games, frosty winter mornings, cooking, the smell of fall, Rice Krispies with bananas, fresh blueberries, Dierks Bentley, the way my dad used to smell, watching basketball, music of EVERY kind, buying the perfect present for someone, the feeling you get when you’ve scratched the last thing to do off of your “to do” list, and every new day I get to experience…

I am: fun, a little too loud sometimes, spontaneous, a little bit blonde sometimes (at least I can admit it), truly a dork (some of you already know, those of you who don’t will soon find out), courageous, strong-willed, strong, and just a little quirky…

I don’t consider myself: very funny, mathematically inclined, a very efficient shopper, or very organized.

If there’s anything that I haven’t covered feel free to ask, or just schedule an appointment and you will probably find more out than you really wanted to know!

See you soon!

Newsworthy bits:

We are going to begin building a house in May, which means that I will have a NEW studio!  I am so excited and have so many ideas.  I am ready to be out of the “shed” I am in right now.  I’m feeling a bit stunted as far as my growth at this point.  Hopefully by mid-fall I will have a great new place for everyone to come and see.

We are planning some really cool things for Christmas specials, so keep checking back to stay posted on what’s coming up!
